Cubs are young people aged 8 to 10½ who:
- Master new skills and try new things
- Have fun and go on adventures
- Make friends
- Are curious about the world around them
- Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond

🐾
At 10th Fulham, Cubs is where the adventure truly begins. Every week, our Cubs come together to explore, challenge themselves, and discover what they’re capable of, all while having loads of fun along the way.
🧭 Who Are Cubs?
Cubs meet in groups called Cub Packs, where they take part in exciting, hands-on activities and earn badges for their achievements. From cooking over a campfire to racing down a river or building dens in the park, every meeting is an adventure waiting to happen.
We currently have two Cub Packs in Fulham:
- 🌟 Wednesday Cubs (Pioneers) — meet at the ECDC Community Hub every Wednesday, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM.
- 🔥 Monday Cubs (Phoenix) — meet at the Clem Attlee Community Hall every Monday, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM.
Spaces are limited, so don’t wait! Email us at info@10thfulham.org or CLICK HERE and we’ll be in touch.
🌲 What Do Cubs Get Up To?
🏕 Going on Adventures
Cubs love getting outdoors! From den-building and edible raft challenges to moonlit hikes and campfire stories, every activity is about teamwork, courage, and discovery. You might not be climbing Mount Everest (yet!), but you’ll have plenty of adventures close to home — because being a Cub means making the most of what you have, wherever you are.
🍳 Learning New Skills
Cubs learn by doing. That might mean cooking a meal, making a robot, helping someone in need, or leading a team for the first time. As skills grow, so does confidence, and by the time our Cubs move up to Scouts, they’ll be able to cook for their team over an open fire (and it’ll actually taste great!).
Beyond practical know-how, Cubs also build character skills, like teamwork, honesty, and initiative, all things that help them thrive in every part of life.
💚 Helping Others
Cubs believe in making the world a better place. They take action in their local community, collecting food donations, planting trees, or raising awareness for good causes, and learn about global challenges too. Big or small, every good deed makes a difference.
🐺 What Does a Cub Pack Look Like?
Cubs are part of the worldwide family of Scouts, alongside Beavers (6 – 8 years) and Scouts (10½ – 14 years). As they grow older, they can continue their journey into Explorers (14 – 18) and Scout Network (18 – 25).
Each Pack is led by a Cub Leader, traditionally called Akela (after the wise wolf from The Jungle Book). Akela is supported by a team of dedicated adults and young helpers, including Explorer Young Leaders, who bring energy, ideas, and experience to the Pack.
Within each Pack, Cubs belong to smaller teams called Sixes, led by a Sixer and a Seconder. These young leaders help welcome new members, lead games, and set an example for the rest of the Pack.
